Job summary

Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Planner for the Sizewell C project. You will lead development and management of complex construction schedules, ensuring resources and timelines are optimised and providing mentorship to junior planners.

You will produce compliant programmes, define planning scope, develop strategies for tenders, prep tender programmes, manage baselines and change control, coordinate resources, monitor performance, and use KPIs to drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to produce and manage programmes for complex construction projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Experience with project data, processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce compliant, high-quality project programmes.
• Define planning scope, constraints and contract requirements.
• Develop efficient design, procurement and construction strategies for tenders.
• Prepare tender programmes, planning philosophies, presentations and reports.
• Produce, manage and maintain contract programmes.
• Assess critical paths and recommend corrective action.
• Establish project baselines and manage change control processes.
• Coordinate resources and monitor supplier and subcontractor performance.
• Provide strategic planning oversight and mentor less experienced planners.
• Use project data and KPIs to monitor progress and support informed decisions.
