Job summary

Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering is recruiting a Planner to join the Sizewell C project as part of our Ground Engineering team. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive project programmes, coordinating resources and ensuring delivery on schedule.

The role requires independent working and strong collaboration within the planning team. Key duties include producing high-quality programmes, planning strategies for design, procurement and construction, and managing baseline

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear communication and confident negotiation skills.
• Experience planning and managing projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency in P6, Asta or MS Project.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and project scheduling.
• An understanding of contract documentation.
• Confidence managing data, processes, deadlines and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage comprehensive construction project schedules.
• Optimize resource allocation and ensure timely delivery.
• Produce planning deliverables: programmes, philosophies, presentations and reports.
• Manage and maintain contract programmes and baselines.
• Identify critical path and communicate findings with corrective actions.
• Coordinate labour, equipment and materials; manage subcontractor performance.
• Monitor KPIs and project data to support decision-making.
