Job summary

A5 Recruitment Ltd is sourcing an experienced Proturn / Manual Turner for a well-established Bradford engineering business. You will manufacture one-off and small-batch components, repair and refurbish parts, and work from drawings, sketches and customer samples in a busy jobbing shop environment.

The role requires time-served machining experience, a strong background in XYZ Proturn and conventional turning, and the ability to manage varied workloads to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer or equivalent machining experience.
• Strong background in XYZ Proturn and conventional turning.
• Experience in a jobbing shop environment.
• Ability to manufacture components from drawings, sketches and samples.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operating XYZ Proturn and conventional turning machines.
• Manufacturing one-off and small-batch components.
• Producing parts from engineering drawings, sketches and customer samples.
• Carrying out repair and refurbishment work.
• Working to tight tolerances and customer deadlines.
• Supporting breakdown and urgent repair requirements when required.
• Working across a variety of light to medium engineering projects.
