Job summary

Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is recruiting a skilled Manual Lathe Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business on the Wirral. The role offers day shifts and overtime options within a small, experienced team.

We seek a time-served engineer who enjoys traditional machining, reading engineering drawings, and delivering components to tight tolerances. 38 hours per week with a supportive company culture and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Experienced Manual/Conventional Turner.
• Confident reading engineering drawings.
• Able to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• A genuine passion for engineering and quality workmanship.

Wirral | £17.50-£18.00 per hour | Days | Overtime Available

We're recruiting a skilled Manual Lathe Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business on the Wirral.

This is a great opportunity for a time-served engineer who enjoys traditional machining, varied work and being part of a small, experienced team.

The business has an excellent reputation for looking after its people. Several engineers have been with the company for decades, and this position has become available due to retirement.

The role:

• Manual turning using Dean Smith & Grace, Colchester Mastiff and Ajax lathes
• Working from engineering drawings
• Machining components to tight tolerances
• Varied precision engineering work across multiple industries

What we're looking for:

Hours: 38 per week

Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:30pm

Friday: 8:00am-2:30pm
