A5 Recruitment Ltd is sourcing an experienced Proturn / Manual Turner for a well-established Bradford engineering business. You will manufacture one-off and small-batch components, repair and refurbish parts, and work from drawings, sketches and customer samples in a busy jobbing shop environment.

The role requires time-served machining experience, a strong background in XYZ Proturn and conventional turning, and the ability to manage varied workloads to tight deadlines.

Proturn / Manual Turner — Bradford — up to £18.75 per hour (£38,000+ per annum) — Permanent

Experienced Turner looking for a secure, long-term role?

A5 Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Proturn / Manual Turner to join a well-established engineering business in Bradford. This is a varied role in a busy jobbing shop environment — manufacturing one-off and small-batch components, carrying out repair work, and producing parts from drawings, sketches and customer samples. The company supports customers across a wide range of industries and offers a mix of routine engineering work and urgent repair requirements, so no two days are the same.

Shifts — late or day shift available:

• Late Shift: Monday–Thursday 1:30pm–10:00pm | Friday 9:00am–4:30pm — £18.75 per hour (£38,000+ per annum)
• Day Shift: Monday–Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm | Friday 7:00am–3:00pm — circa £18.00 per hour

The Role

• Operating XYZ Proturn and conventional turning machines
• Manufacturing one-off and small-batch components

What We're Looking For

• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
• Time-served engineer or equivalent machining experience
• Strong background in both XYZ Proturn and conventional turning
• Previous experience within a jobbing shop environment
• Ability to manufacture components from drawings, sketches and samples
• Experience carrying out repair and breakdown work
• Ability to work independently and manage varied workloads
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
