Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturer with the recruitment of a Toolmaker to join their engineering team in Bridgwater. This days-based role involves manufacturing, refurbishing and improving precision tooling to support production across the site.

You'll work in a well-equipped toolroom using conventional and semi-CNC machinery, delivering tooling to tight tolerances, collaborating with Production and Engineering to meet new product demands and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Toolmaker, Toolroom Engineer or Precision Machinist background
• Strong milling and turning experience on conventional and CNC machinery
• Ability to read engineering drawings and produce tooling to tight tolerances
• Experience in tool manufacture, modification and repair

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair and modify precision tooling using conventional and semi-CNC machinery
• Manufacture and refurbish high-precision tooling from engineering drawings
• Modify tooling to support production and new product requirements
• Operate conventional and semi-CNC milling and turning equipment
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and tooling developments across the site
