Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturer in Bridgwater to recruit a Toolmaker for a days-based role within a busy engineering environment. You will manufacture, refurbish and improve precision tooling used across production, helping the business respond to new products and process challenges with high-quality tooling.

You will work from engineering drawings in a well-equipped toolroom, handling conventional and semi-CNC milling and turning equipment while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained Engineer or equivalent time-served background.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Experience in tool manufacture, modification and repair.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and refurbish high-precision tooling from engineering drawings.
• Modify and improve existing tooling to support production and new product requirements.
• Operate conventional and semi-CNC milling and turning equipment.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and tooling developments across the site.
