Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Bridgwater is supporting an established manufacturer with the recruitment of a Toolmaker to join their engineering team.

This is a days-based role where you'll manufacture, refurbish and improve precision tooling to support production across the site, meeting tight tolerances and solving manufacturing challenges.

You'll work in a well-equipped toolroom using conventional and semi-CNC tools, with the opportunity for an annual bonus and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Toolmaker, Toolroom Engineer or Precision Machinist.
• Strong milling and turning experience on conventional and CNC machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and produce tooling to tight tolerances.
• Experience in tool manufacture, modification and repair.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and refurbish high-precision tooling from engineering drawings.
• Modify and improve existing tooling to support production and new product requirements.
• Operate conventional and semi-CNC milling and turning equipment.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and tooling developments across the site.
