Job summary

Yolk Recruitment has partnered with an established international manufacturer in South Wales to recruit an experienced Toolmaker for its injection moulding operation. This permanent, days-based role offers varied technical work and the chance to own tooling repairs and improvements in a busy toolroom.

You'll work with an engineering team, share knowledge with apprentices, and enjoy regular day shifts with an early finish on Fridays plus optional overtime.

Qualifications

• Recognised Toolmaking apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience maintaining, repairing and modifying precision tooling, ideally within plastic injection moulding.
• Strong manual machining and precision fitting skills, with the ability to work accurately from engineering drawings.
• Experience stripping, inspecting and rebuilding mould tools, with understanding of components and principles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults with injection mould tools and identify root causes.
• Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild mould tools; replace components as needed.
• Use manual machining and precision fitting to meet required tolerances.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve tooling issues.
