Proactive Global is seeking a Press Brake Operator in Biggleswade to support an expanding order book. You will operate press brake machines, interpret blueprints and specifications, and set up tooling to meet production requirements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, quality control, and safe, efficient operation in a busy manufacturing environment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am–4pm, with pay between £16.00 and £20.00 per hour depending on experience and skills.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake machines and bending techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders and production specs.
• Strong math skills for precise dimensioning.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal plates and sheets.
• Read blueprints, work orders and production schedules to determine required specifications.
• Adjust tooling, dies, and machine settings for each bending operation.
• Position and align metal plates and sheets on the press brake.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and conformance.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep machines clean and safe.
