Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd in Daventry (Northamptonshire) is seeking an experienced Press-brake Operator to join a busy sheet metal production team. You will set and operate Bystronic and Edward Pearson press-brakes (80–150 tonnes) to manufacture high-quality components from engineering drawings and production schedules, in a fast-paced environment.

You will work a 45-hour week, Monday to Thursday 07:00–17:15 and Friday 07:00–13:00, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.50 plus overtime and

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating press-brake machinery.
• Experience working within a similar manufacturing or sheet metal environment.
• Ability to work accurately to tight production deadlines.
• Good attention to detail, with a methodical and precise approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Bystronic press-brake machines ranging from 80 to 150 tonnes.
• Manufacture sheet metal components accurately in accordance with engineering drawings and production requirements.
• Carry out general metalworking duties, including rolling and forming where required.
• Work flexibly within the sheet metal department, assisting with other production activities, including the laser machine when necessary.
• Liaise with the Cell Leader to ensure production schedules and commitments are met.
• Contribute towards departmental productivity and the achievement of KPIs.
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
• Participate in relevant training and ongoing skills development.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support departmental and business objectives.
