Job summary

Employee Finder Ltd is looking for a Press Brake Operator for a growing manufacturing and fabrication business near Biggleswade. The role offers a permanent position with progression into wider sheet metal work and training on Safan CNC controls.

You will operate a press brake to bend aluminium, steel and stainless steel from engineering drawings, and set the machine with the correct tooling for each job. Overtime is available midweek and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC press brakes on a production line.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use tolerances.
• Capable of programming at machine level and setting tooling.

Job description

Press Brake Operator required in Biggleswade, up to £19 per hour, for a growing manufacturing and fabrication business producing their own product range.

Monday to Friday, start around 7:00am, 40 hour week. Overtime available midweek and weekends at 1.5X. This is a permanent position with genuine room to develop wider sheet metal skills, and training on Safan CNC controls is provided.

You will be bending a range of components in aluminium, steel and stainless steel, working from engineering drawings, and setting the machine with the correct tooling for each job.

If you have solid press brake experience and want a permanent role with real progression into wider sheet metal work.

What you will need:

• CNC press brake operating experience
• Ability to read and work to engineering drawings
• Ability to program at machine level
• Ability to set the machine with tooling
• Experience within a manufacturing production line environment
• Experience with thin gauge sheet metal and larger assemblies
• Comfortable carrying out routine maintenance on plant and equipment
• Thorough, detail focused approach
• Able to take feedback and perform well under pressure
