Job summary

Employee Finder Ltd in Biggleswade is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a growing manufacturing and fabrication business. You will bend a range of components in aluminium, steel and stainless steel, reading engineering drawings and setting the machine with the correct tooling.

The role is Monday to Friday, around 7:00am, 40-hour week with overtime at 1.5x midweek and weekends. Training on Safan CNC controls is provided, and there is genuine room to develop wider sheet metal skills.

Qualifications

• CNC press brake operating experience.
• Ability to read and work to engineering drawings.
• Ability to program at machine level.
• Ability to set the machine with tooling.
• Experience within a manufacturing production line environment.
• Experience with thin gauge sheet metal and larger assemblies.
• Comfortable carrying out routine maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Thorough, detail focused approach.
• Able to take feedback and perform well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Bend a range of components in aluminium, steel and stainless steel to drawings.
• Read engineering drawings and set up the tooling required for each job.
• Program at machine level and adjust settings for each job.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault-finding on the press brake.
• Work within a manufacturing production line with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Job description

Press Brake Operator required in Biggleswade, up to £19 per hour, for a growing manufacturing and fabrication business producing their own product range.

Monday to Friday, start around 7:00am, 40 hour week. Overtime available midweek and weekends at 1.5X. This is a permanent position with genuine room to develop wider sheet metal skills, and training on Safan CNC controls is provided.

You will be bending a range of components in aluminium, steel and stainless steel, working from engineering drawings, and setting the machine with the correct tooling for each job.
