Qualifications

• Experience operating manual mills and lathes.
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
• Experience working with precision engineered components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
• Confidence using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• A methodical approach to problem solving and fault finding.
• Proactive, quality focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing components using manual milling machines and lathes.
• Producing accurate, high quality work in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assembling and fitting precision components and sub assemblies.
• Inspecting, measuring and checking components throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
• Carrying out adjustments, modifications and repairs where required.
• Identifying and resolving mechanical issues through effective fault finding.
• Maintaining high standards of workshop organisation, equipment care and safe working practices.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider engineering function.
