Job summary

Flourish is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician in the North Oxfordshire/Cotswolds area to join a specialist engineering environment. This hands-on role focuses on precision machining, assembly, and working from technical drawings, with opportunities to gain additional qualifications and certifications.

You will operate mills and lathes, assemble components, and collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality finished work in a busy workshop setting on site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manual mills and lathes.
• Experience assembling precision components and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC and CAD/CAM advantageous.
• Engine components experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machines and lathes to produce precision components.
• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to a high standard.
• Work accurately from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure and check components for accuracy and quality.
• Support build, maintenance and development of mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and solve practical mechanical and engineering challenges.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality finished work.
