Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment in Woking, Surrey. You will read technical drawings and assemble or repair mechanical products such as trolleys, steps and platforms, using a range of hand and power tools.

The role emphasizes quality, safety and documentation. Requirements include experience reading drawings and a mechanical assembly/engineering background, with confidence in drills, grinders and workshop

Qualifications

• Experience reading and working from technical drawings is essential.
• Background in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering.
• Comfort with drills, grinders and other workshop tools.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble mechanical products.
• Build, assemble, and repair equipment including trolleys, steps and platforms.
• Use drills, grinders and other tools safely and efficiently.
• Complete work accurately and maintain quality records.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures and health & safety requirements.
