Hudson Shribman seeks a Mechanical Assembly (Hydraulic) Fitter to join a leading engineering and R&D team. You will prepare parts, assemble tight-tolerance components, and support hydraulic test systems delivered worldwide.

Reading drawings, using hand and precision tools, and handling high-value parts are core skills. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings for components and assemblies.
• Mechanical assembly experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with high-value/low-volume components in precision environments.
• Commercial mechanical assembly experience.
• Understanding or experience of hydraulic systems is advantageous.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent practical background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical assembly skills.
• Ability to read/interpret component and assembly drawings.
• Confident use of hand, power and precision tools.
• Excellent hand skills and dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Responsabilités

• Prepare component parts to required quality standards.
• Assemble components and sub-assemblies using tools.
• Handle large/high-value components with care.
• Interpret drawings and assembly instructions accurately.
• Carry out manual handling in line with safety rules.
• Use lifting equipment safely when required.
• Support installation work at customer sites when needed.
• Represent the company professionally with customers.
