Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a Mechanical Assembly (Hydraulic) Fitter for an on-site, full-time position in the South East. The role involves assembling high-value hydraulic systems, reading detailed drawings, and working with precision tools to build complex components before shipment to customers worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, be able to interpret drawings, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for component parts and assemblies.
• Experience in mechanical assembly within engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with high-value/low-volume components in precision engineering.
• Hydraulic systems knowledge is advantageous and apprenticeship background is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare component parts to required quality standards and assemble into system elements.
• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand, power and precision tools.
• Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions accurately.
• Maintain safety, 5S standards and proper handling of components.
• Support installation work at customer sites when required and work with production/engineering teams.
