Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer to perform hands-on, first-line maintenance across a varied manufacturing facility. The role covers reactive breakdowns, planned maintenance and general mechanical support within a busy production environment.

Candidates should have practical maintenance experience in manufacturing, with strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to read drawings and operate CMMS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining manufacturing or industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line mechanical maintenance and breakdown support.
• Diagnose and repair faults on manufacturing machinery.
• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain CNC and conventional machinery and production equipment.
• Fault-find and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
• Use CMMS to record maintenance activity.
• Assist with general building and facilities maintenance.
• Liaise with manufacturers and specialist contractors for support.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
