Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator / Fitter in a hands-on workshop and hangar-based role. You will manufacture, fit, inspect and repair precision sheet metal components for bespoke engineering projects in a highly regulated environment.

Based onsite, you will collaborate with engineering, production, and installation teams to deliver high-quality solutions, support prototypes, and ensure compliance with approved design data and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Fabrication and fitting using sheet metal techniques.
• Familiar with PPE and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture bespoke components from sheet metal to drawings.
• Assemble and fit components, including parts from external suppliers.
• Inspect subcontractor parts for conformance to drawings and specs.
• Support prototype development with design engineers for production.
• Carry out repairs/modifications using sheet metal fabrication and composite techniques.
• Apply protective coatings and finishes per engineering requirements.
• Ensure outputs meet design data and quality standards.
• Work independently or with the engineering team as needed.
