Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting an Electronics Assembly Technician for our client in Salisbury. The role involves mounting and securing electronic parts onto PCBs and into casings, using hand tools and soldering equipment. You'll read drawings and work to quality standards.

You will hand-solder SMT or through-hole components, inspect assemblies for defects, test functionality, and troubleshoot simple faults. Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:15pm with early Friday finish; starting immediately at £14.56 per hour.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production or assembly experience.
• Experience with hand soldering and operating electronic test equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in finishing to a high standard.
• Ability to work accurately and follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Mount and secure electronic parts, wires, and microchips onto PCBs and into larger casings using hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Hand-solder components using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) or through-hole techniques.
• Inspect finished assemblies for defects, test functionality and troubleshoot basic faults.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics.
