Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking an Electronic Assembler in Leicester LE2 to join a quality-driven production team. You will modify PCBs, assemble components, and perform SMT handling with precision under detailed drawings and instructions.

The role offers a 6-12 month contract with an early finish every Friday and a pay rate of £14.50–£15.50 per hour. You will collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve production issues in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic or PCB assembly.
• Ability to identify electronic components and polarity.
• Experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Understanding of ESD procedures.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 is advantageous.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Modifying and assembling Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
• Identifying and handling miniature surface-mount components.
• Removing and replacing SMT components using specialist tweezers and tools.
• Carrying out varnishing procedures in line with specifications.
• Reading and following technical drawings and written instructions.
• Ensuring all work meets strict quality standards.

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 | Friday: 08:00 - 12:15

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a leading electronics manufacturing business based in Leicester LE2. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with PCB assembly, soldering or electronics manufacturing experience seeking a long-term contract position with an early finish every Friday.

The Role

Working within a quality-driven production environment, you will be responsible for modifying Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) while following detailed technical drawings and written instructions. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality is essential.

Key Responsibilities
