Pertemps is seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Assembly Operative to assemble, wire and test control panels. You will work from GA drawings and instructions to deliver high-quality panels that meet specification, on time and ready for installation.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience assembling and wiring electrical control panels.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and layouts.
• Cable preparation, crimping, termination and use of hand tools.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety and basic testing procedures.
• High attention to detail and pride in neat, methodical work.

Responsibilities

• Interpret GA drawings, wiring diagrams and works instructions to build to specification.
• Prepare and collate materials within the work area with correct project identification.
• Mark out, drill, tap and fit trunking, DIN rail, cable glands and mounting plates.
• Install relays, circuit breakers, PLCs, contactors, terminals and associated components.
• Wire, route, terminate and neatly dress cables with clear circuit segregation.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, aesthetics and cable management.
• Conduct testing: continuity, insulation resistance and functional checks.
• Label finished panels with serial numbers and manufacturer details, and package for collection or delivery.
• Support integration of panels into wider assemblies and ensure safe handover.
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
