Job summary

Metalis is seeking an Electrical Assembly Operative in Middleton, Manchester to join a well-established manufacturer on a temp-perm basis. You will assemble and test electrical panels and wiring from engineering drawings, ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires at least 3 years in electrical assembly or soldering, attention to detail, and a flexible approach to overtime. Salary starts at £13.50 per hour and increases to £14.00 after probation, with days work Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical assembly or soldering.
• Able to read and interpret engineering or production drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Flexible to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test lighting and electrical panels.
• Electrical wiring and LED installation.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out visual inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Ensure correct component placement and safe power routing.
• Work closely with an experienced production team.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout production.
