Job summary

Cosworth Group Holdings Limited is seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator to set up and run Fanuc-based CNC machines. You will produce precision engine components and work within a safety-focused, production-driven team environment.

Applicants should read and interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot NC code, and apply 5S/SMED principles to improve processes. Automotive engineering background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information and drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc-based machines such as Hitachi Seiki and Matsuura.
• Ability to troubleshoot and spot errors in NC code.
• Knowledge of work-holding methods, tooling, and cutting parameters.
• Awareness of shop floor systems and quality principles.
• Familiarity with SMED, 5S and continuous improvement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently.
• Produce components to company standards in cost-effective ways.
• Be familiar with all job procedures and transfer information between shifts.
• Notify Team Leaders of problems and collaborate on solutions.
• Suggest improvements to methods, tooling and processes.
• Keep the work area clean and comply with department procedures.
