Job summary

Aspion is seeking a highly skilled CNC Miller to join our Warrington area team. You will set and operate CNC milling machines, load and edit programs, and work from engineering drawings to produce precision components.

The role offers a clear path for progression in a growing manufacturing environment with modern equipment. Salary ranges from £29,000 to £33,000 plus shift allowance, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

At least 2 year’s experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of tooling, offsets and machine set up procedures.
Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
Experience with Hurco, Mori Seiki, VMC or similar machinery (desired).

Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered components.
Load, edit and run CNC programmes to meet engineering specifications.
Work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Manufacture components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
Carry out quality inspections and dimensional checks on finished parts.
Produce jigs and fixtures to support machining operations.
Perform tool changes and tool offset adjustments as required.
Monitor machine performance and respond to machine alarms.
Complete routine machine maintenance checks and maintain records.
Ensure work areas and machinery are kept clean, organised and safe.
Support continuous improvement activities within the machine shop.
