Job summary

Aspion Search is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well-established machinery manufacturer in the UK. The role focuses on setting and operating CNC mills to produce high-precision components from engineering drawings, with attention to tight tolerances and strict quality standards.

You will load, edit and run CNC programs, perform tool changes and offset adjustments, and monitor machine performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in precision engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets and machine setup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
• Load, edit and run CNC programmes to specifications.
• Read engineering drawings and related technical docs.
• Machin components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform quality inspections and dimensional checks.
• Produce jigs/fixtures to support machining operations.
• Carry out tool changes and offset adjustments as required.
• Monitor machine performance and respond to alarms.
• Complete routine maintenance checks and keep records.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.
• Support continuous improvement activities in the machine shop.
