Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced CNC Grinder Operator in Bridgwater to set up and operate CNC grinding machines, producing precision components per engineering drawings and tolerances.

You will read drawings, use micrometers and verniers, and perform first-off, in-process and final inspections while maintaining safety standards and supporting continuous improvement in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC grinding experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Good understanding of tolerances and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cylindrical, centreless, surface or universal grinding is desirable.
• CNC programming or editing experience is desirable.
• Engineering qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC grinding machines.
• Read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
• Make machine offset and tooling adjustments.
• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Identify machine, tooling and quality issues.
• Complete production records and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
