Job summary

Streamline Search Limited are assisting a specialist precision engineering business in recruiting a CNC Grinder who can programme, set and operate high-precision grinding machines to tight tolerances. You will read engineering drawings, develop effective grinding methods, perform first-off inspections and create CNC programmes, while maintaining quality, efficiency and a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

Proven CNC grinder with programming, setting and operating experience.
Experience reading detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
Experience in ISO 9001:2015 quality-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

Program, set and operate CNC grinding machines to manufacture precision components.
Read and interpret detailed customer drawings and specifications.
Determine effective grinding methods and processes for each component.
Carry out first-off inspections to verify specifications before production.
Create, store and maintain CNC programmes.
Review work orders and instructions to ensure machining requirements are understood.
Monitor production quality and ensure components meet standards.
Work to agreed run times while maintaining high quality.
Collaborate with colleagues to improve methods, efficiency and quality.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace.
