Job summary

Lucion is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor to join our field-based team in Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas. You’ll conduct Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys, gather precise site data, and prepare high-quality NexGen reports.

You will work independently and as part of a broader team, travel locally, and ensure compliance with HSG264 and related regulations. The role offers a dynamic environment focused on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Holds BOHS P402 or an equivalent qualification (RSPH) or a Certificate of Competence.
• Knowledge of HSG264 (The Survey Guide) is preferred.
• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Based in or around Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, or surrounding area.
• Able to travel locally and occasionally further afield.
• Flexible for occasional out-of-hours work.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Strong work ethic and professional site approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all disciplines of asbestos surveying and inspection (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition Surveys, plus asbestos in the ground).
• Travel across Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas to client sites.
• Collect accurate site data using a phablet and produce high-quality reports via NexGen system.
• Ensure compliance with asbestos legislation and guidance (HSG264, HSE requirements).
• Maintain personal QHSE documentation and internal assurance processes.
