Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Pre-Boarder (Drylining / Plasterboarding) to join on-site in Northumberland. You will prepare internal frames for drywall installation, apply sealant and insulation, and ensure surfaces are prepped for drylining.

The role requires a CSCS Card, experience in pre-boarding or insulation installation, full PPE, and owning standard hand tools. You will support the trade team and maintain a safe, tidy workspace.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required.
• Experience in pre-boarding, insulation installation, or drylining prep work.
• Full PPE (steel toe boots, hi-vis, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves).
• Own standard hand tools for preparation and sealing work.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: £19 per hour

Duties Include:

• Preparing internal timber or steel stud frames for drywall installation.
• Applying sealant/silicone and installing thermal/acoustic insulation into wall cavities prior to boarding.
• Checking frame alignments, cut-outs, and tape work to ensure surfaces are prepped for dryliners.
• Assisting the wider trade team with general site prep and material handling.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working area in accordance with site safety standards.

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience in pre-boarding, insulation installation, or general drylining prep work.
• Full PPE (steel toe boots, hi-vis, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves).
• Own standard hand tools for preparation and sealing work.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and good attention to detail.
