Search Consultancy is seeking skilled Dryliners to join a busy commercial project in Durham. The role involves high-volume boarding, studwork, and plasterboard fixing, with clean, precise installation and site safety.

Applicants should hold a valid CSCS card, have a full drylining toolkit, and be reliable with experience in commercial or residential fit-out. Immediate starts available, with weekly payroll and ongoing opportunities across the North East.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Card preferred).
• Time-served or qualified Dryliner with commercial or residential fit-out experience.
• Full drylining tool kit and standard PPE.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a gang.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Studwork & Metal Framework: set up partitions, wall linings, shaft walls and ceiling grids.
• Plasterboard Installation: fix boards to walls/ceilings with appropriate boards.
• Tacking & Fixing: secure plasterboards with screws and ensure flush joints.
• Site Preparation: measure, cut, shape boards and maintain a clean site.

Dryliner / Ceiling Fixer

Search Consultancy is looking for skilled, experienced Dryliners to join an active commercial development in Durham. We are partnering with an established regional interior fit-out sub-contractor requiring reliable operatives for high-volume boarding, studwork, and plasterboard fixing.

If you have a valid CSCS card, full professional drylining kit, and a proven track record delivering clean, precise installation work, we have immediate starts available.

The Role

• Studwork & Metal Framework: Setting up metal stud partitions, wall linings, shaft wall systems, and suspended ceiling grids to technical drawings.
• Plasterboard Installation: Boarding walls, ceilings, and bulkheads using fire, acoustic, and moisture-resistant boards.
• Tacking & Fixing: Fixing plasterboards securely using drywall screws, ensuring flush joints and correct fixings spacing.
• Site Preparation: Measuring, cutting, and shaping boards accurately while keeping work areas safe and clean.

Requirements

• CSCS Card: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Card in Interior Systems / Drylining preferred).
• Experience: Time-served or qualified Dryliner with solid commercial or residential fit-out experience.
• Tools & Kit: Full drylining tool kit (cordless screw guns, board lifter, hand tools, stilts if applicable) and standard 5-point PPE.
• Reliability: Strong attention to detail, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a gang.
• Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
