Job summary

SoCode Limited is seeking a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer to bridge cutting-edge technology and real-world customer requirements. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams to design solutions, deliver demonstrations, and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process.

You will split time between customer meetings, lab testing, field deployments, and technical problem solving, building demo environments and preparing

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics, CS or related field.
• Experience in Pre-Sales/Applications/Systems Engineering or similar technical customer-facing role.
• Ability to present technical solutions to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally (approx. 10-40%).

Responsibilities

• Support the sales process from initial engagement through contract award.
• Translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, demos, and PoCs.
• Develop expertise across hardware, software, and integrated systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to feed customer feedback for future development.
• Build and test demonstration environments, use cases, and technical collateral.
• Support customer deployments and field activities as needed.
• Produce high-quality proposals and technical content.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, software, networking, and RF.
