Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a motivated Pre-Reg Trainee Pharmacy Technician (non-apprenticeship) to join our pharmacy team across LTHT sites in Leeds.

The role involves rotating duties within inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, dispensing prescriptions and contributing to stock control, while you complete the Pharmacy Technician Training Programme and aim to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Qualifications

• You will be required to work with different pharmacy teams whilst completing the programme.
• You will need to demonstrate that you are a team player, be a proactive learner and be able to plan and organise your own workload.
• You need to be flexible in your approach to work and have good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, a professional attitude and patient centred approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Working in hospital inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, dispensing prescriptions and issuing prescribed items.
• Contributing to all aspects of pharmaceutical stock control.
• Delivering pharmacy ward-based services including taking patient medication histories and educating patients on their medicines.
