Pre-Litigated Credit Hire File Handler

Description

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for an ambitious and detail-driven professional to join our thriving team.

As a File Handler, you will pursue settlement of a pre-litigation credit hire file as soon as practically possible, ensuring Client Guidelines are adhered to. It is important that the job holder can quickly review files and formulate an initial Strategy, commence early telephone negotiations with Credit Hire Organisations, and liaise with Insurers where necessary.


Key Accountabilities
  1. Reviewing pre-proceedings files, noting and abiding by Client Guidelines
  2. Formulating initial Strategy
  3. Implementing the Strategy agreed
  4. Undertaking telephone negotiations with Credit Hire Organisations
  5. Pursuing settlement as quickly as possible
  6. Liaising with Insurers where necessary
  7. Ensuring ‘actions’ are carried out as per Action Lists in Case Management System
  8. Ensuring files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines
  9. To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations
  10. Adhere to the Keoghs Values

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  1. Education - at least 3 GCSEs or equivalent are essential and a degree is preferable.
  2. Ability to use own initiative.
  3. Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  4. Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
  5. Good telephone negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to follow work processes and keep to Strategy.
  7. Ability to recognise when sensitivity and tact are required.
  8. Ability to make decisions.
  9. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  10. Good IT skills including Word, Outlook, and experience of a Case Management System preferred.
  11. Experience of credit hire is essential and the applicant would be expected to have been working in an environment where they have been exposed to credit hire cases on a day to day basis for at least 6 months.
