The Pre-Litigated File Handler role involves working with fraud specialists and legal support staff. You will manage a caseload of pre-litigation cases involving various fraud types, working with the Team Leader and Lead Lawyer to achieve optimal results in a commercially sound manner. The role requires following defined processes and applying forensic and analytical skills to evidence. Commercial awareness, especially regarding fixed fee work, is essential. Decision-making within set timeframes and in the best interests of clients is a key aspect of this role.
You will work strategically to shape the future of the counter-fraud arena, handling cases from identification to resolution or litigation. Responsibilities include evidence review, case strategy setting, adherence to process stages, and identifying litigation opportunities. You will also monitor client trends and ensure maximum client satisfaction, timely MI completion, and achievement of KPIs.
Technical responsibilities include liaising with investigations, complying with procedural deadlines, protecting client positions, delegating tasks, maintaining case systems, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Commercial awareness to work efficiently within fixed fees, achieving financial targets, and accurate billing are vital.
Working Hours:
35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. The role is based in Bolton, Parklands Office, with a hybrid working model requiring at least 1 day/week in the office.
- Experience handling pre-litigation caseloads; knowledge of MIB Agreements is desirable.
