Job summary

Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the Pre 16 team. The role involves working alongside teaching and student services to provide targeted literacy and study skills development, and in-class support for pupils aged under 16.

We expect candidates to have Grade C passes in English and Maths (or equivalent), strong safeguarding knowledge, and a track record of delivering high-quality learning support to younger students.

Qualifications

• Be well motivated, passionate and well organised.
• Have significant knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent.
• Have experience in delivering high quality learning support activities to pre 16 students.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class learning support and literacy/study skills packages.
• Deliver literacy and study skills development to pre 16 students in the College centre for personalised learning.
• Work with teaching and student services to support students.
