Job summary

Omnes Healthcare is seeking a proactive Practice Nurse to join our established team at Greenwich. You will deliver assessment, screening, and treatment services within a GP practice, advising patients on general health and minor ailments, and referring to GPs when necessary.

You will support pathology processes, including specimen collection, storage and dispatch, and assist with administrative duties to ensure smooth practice operations.

Qualifications

  • Current NMC registration.
  • Proven experience as a Practice Nurse in a primary care setting.
  • Experience with QOF management or chronic condition care is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, screening, and treatment services to patients.
  • Advise patients on general healthcare and minor ailments, referring to GPs when appropriate.
  • Collect, store, and dispatch pathological specimens in line with practice protocols.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our established team and make a real difference in patient care.

As a GP Practice Nurse, you will work within a GP practice delivering assessment, screening, and treatment services. You will provide advice to patients on general health and minor ailments, referring to GPs when necessary.

You will also support pathology processes, including the collection, storage, and dispatch of specimens, and assist with administrative and professional duties, ensuring smooth practice operations.

You will be part of a diverse, multi-skilled team of clinical and non-clinical colleagues, delivering high-quality, person-centred, and holistic care to patients registered with Omnes Healthcare practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, screening, and treatment services to patients
  • Advise patients on general healthcare and minor ailments, referring to GPs when appropriate
  • Collect, store, and dispatch pathological specimens in line with practice protocols
  • Support administrative and professional responsibilities, including QOF management and clinical audits

Role Requirements
  • Current NMC registration

  • Experience in managing QOF or specialized care, such as Diabetes or long-term condition management, is desirable
