Job summary

Christchurch Medical Practice is seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team on a permanent contract. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care in a busy GP practice, supporting doctors and other health professionals while developing your clinical skills.

The role focuses on health assessments, vaccinations, chronic disease management and patient education, with opportunities for ongoing professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and active PIN.
• Experience in primary care or general practice is preferred.
• Understanding of audit and clinical governance.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Chronic disease management qualifications.
• Competency in Asthma, COPD and Diabetes reviews.
• Basic or Advanced Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care, including health assessments and wound care.
• Administer vaccinations and provide health education.
• Monitor vital signs and document medical histories.
• Assist with minor procedures and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Support patients with health promotion and chronic disease management.
• Collaborate with GPs, healthcare assistants, pharmacists and admin staff.
