Job summary

Oakley Medical Practice in Leeds is seeking a Salaried Practice Nurse to provide high-quality, safe patient care within NHS guidelines. You will manage chronic diseases, assist with immunisations and wound care, and work with GPs and practice staff to maintain confidential records in line with safeguarding and data protection policies.

The role requires a nursing diploma or willingness to train, and a proactive approach to evidence-based practice, with flexibility to cover across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing or willingness to train.
• Infection control and safeguarding knowledge preferred.
• Confidential handling of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Chronic disease management including respiratory disease, diabetes, CHD.
• Assist in routine patient care tasks as directed by senior staff.
• Contraception, cytology, wound care and venepuncture.
• ECGs and hypertension management.
• Immunisations and long-term condition care.
• Coordinate with GPs and other clinicians; refer per protocols.
