Job summary

Healthii People is recruiting on behalf of a GP surgery in Durham for an experienced Practice Nurse to join their team. You will work alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care to the practice population.

The successful candidate will have experience across primary care, with duties such as chronic disease management, vaccinations, wound care, cervical cytology and immunisations; NMC registration is required, and you should be able to work

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and valid PIN.
• Experience in general practice nursing.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Experience managing long-term conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a GP practice.
• Work alongside GPs and multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver chronic disease management, vaccinations, and wound care.
• Support cervical cytology, QOF, and health promotion.

This role would suit a nurse who enjoys working in primary care and wants the opportunity to develop their role within an established GP practice.

About the Position

You will work alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care to the practice population.

• Diabetes, COPD and asthma clinics
• Treatment room procedures
• Wound care
• Cervical cytology
• Immunisations and vaccinations
• QOF
• Health promotion
• General Practice Nurse clinics

About You

You should have:

• Current NMC registration
• Previous Practice Nursing experience
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Experience managing long-term conditions
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
