Job summary

Healthii People is currently recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join a GP surgery in Newcastle. This role offers both part-time and full-time hours, providing flexibility for nurses balancing commitments.

You will work alongside GPs and the multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical services, including long-term condition management, immunisations, cervical screening, and health promotion, within a supportive primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Experienced Practice Nurse with confidence working in a GP practice and autonomously within a wider clinical team.
• Primary care experience is preferred and the relevant clinical competencies for the role.
• You will join a supportive primary care team with flexible hours for balance with commitments.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a GP surgery in Newcastle.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive primary care team, with part-time and full-time hours available, making the role suitable for nurses looking for either a new permanent position or greater flexibility around their existing commitments.

The Role

As a Practice Nurse, you will provide a range of clinical services to the practice population, working alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Long-term condition management
• Diabetes, COPD and asthma reviews
• Wound care
• Cervical screening
• Immunisations and vaccinations
• QOF
• Patient education and health promotion

About You

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse who is confident working within a GP practice and able to work autonomously as well as part of a wider clinical team.

Primary care experience is preferred, along with the relevant clinical competencies required for the role.
