Job summary

Staff Partners Business in Rochester is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join a friendly GP Practice with flexible part-time shifts and competitive hourly rates. As a Practice Nurse you will support the GP team across clinics, immunisations, cervical screening, chronic disease management, wound care and health education, while maintaining records. The ideal candidate is an NMC-registered nurse with Primary Care experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• NMC registration as a practicing nurse.
• Experience in Primary Care/GP setting.
• Experience with chronic disease management and routine practice nurse duties.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

The Role:

As a Practice Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting the GP team and delivering high-quality patient care within a primary care setting. You will be responsible for a range of nursing duties and clinics to support the ongoing health and wellbeing of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering routine nursing care within a GP Practice setting
• Running chronic disease management clinics (e.g., asthma, diabetes, COPD)
• Administering immunisations and vaccinations
• Cervical screening (smears)
• Wound care and dressings
• Health promotion and patient education
• Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to clinical protocols

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
• Experience working within a Primary Care / GP Practice setting
• Experience with chronic disease management and routine practice nurse duties
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
