Qualifications

Position Overview

My client is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their growing law firm in central London. The firm has a proud 40-year history and offers services across HNW Immigration, International Protection and Human Rights, White Collar Crime, Sanctions, Civil Litigation, and Arbitration.

Responsibilities
  1. Management and oversight of the Administration and Support functions.
  2. Support to the IT, Finance, and Compliance teams, including management of the breaches register.
  3. Organisation of the firm’s business and buildings insurance.
  4. Approval and monitoring of weekly office supplies.
  5. Review and update of all Office Manual policies.
  6. Planning and coordination of all training.
  7. Management of all employee relations matters.
  8. Management and administration of all recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  9. Absence management.
  10. Performance management.
  11. Monitoring chargeable hours and utilization.
  12. Working with Partners and stakeholders to manage non-billable commitments.
  13. Ensuring all employees have up-to-date right to work status.
  14. Management of internship and work experience placement programs.
  15. Project management as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Practice Manager or equivalent in a law firm.
  2. Strong knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct and Accounts Rules.
  3. Demonstrates a growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  5. Strong focus on resource management and business performance.
  6. Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

  9. Commercially minded with risk management and business acumen.
  10. Strong IT skills.
