Job description

We are seeking a Financial Services Practice Leader for our AWS Japan Professional Services business. This role is ideal for a business leader with experience in leading consulting teams through significant growth and designing digital transformation programs for Financial Services institutions either in Japan or globally.

The Financial Services industry is undergoing rapid change, emphasizing digital transformation of products, services, customer experiences, and operations. Our Professional Services teams leverage specialized capabilities and global best practices to facilitate our customers' success in cloud-based digital transformation, collaborating across AWS and our extensive partner ecosystem to drive innovation.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of high-performance sales professionals and consultants, inspiring them to realize the impact of AWS on Financial Services clients.
2. Engage with Financial Services clients to design and implement digital transformation initiatives in the cloud.
3. Build trust with C-level executives and demonstrate confidence in guiding their digital transformation journeys.
4. Advocate for customer needs to influence consulting delivery and enhance product and service capabilities.
5. Develop and execute partner strategies to maximize business outcomes.
6. Oversee revenue, customer experience, and practice growth.
7. Attract, develop, and lead top talent with strong business, technical, and customer relationship skills.

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of IT implementation experience with a strategic mindset.
• Leadership experience in consulting practices.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
• Exceptional customer relationship management and collaboration skills.
• Strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges.
• Deep understanding of IaaS cloud transition challenges and enterprise architecture, including virtualization and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards in enterprise IT.
• Business proficiency in Japanese and English.

Preferred qualifications include thought leadership in enterprise IT infrastructure, experience in vertical industry sales and delivery, complex business development, and familiarity with AWS services in distributed environments with major enterprise vendors.
