Job summary

PortmanDentex is recruiting a motivated Practice Manager for Coombe Dental Care in Salisbury. You will lead a busy family practice, ensuring excellent patient care while driving growth and day-to-day operations.

As Registered Manager, you’ll oversee equipment, facilities, compliance, and financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets) with support from the operations manager and business partners. 30 hours per week, mat leave cover from December 2026 for 1 year.

Qualifications

• Healthcare, retail, hospitality or similar service-focused background with leadership experience.
• Experience leading a team and delivering excellent patient or customer service.
• Comfort with financials: P&L, KPIs and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support colleagues to perform at their best.
• Oversee operations, facilities and compliance to ensure smooth daily running.
• Manage budgets, KPIs and P&L to drive practice growth.

We’re looking for a motivated and people-focused Practice Manager to join our fabulous specialist team at Coombe Dental Care in Salisbury

• Mat leave cover from December 2026 - 1 yr FTC
• 30 hours per week, with some flexibility. Ideally full days between the hours 8am-5.30pm Monday to Friday
• Competitive salary dependent on your experience
• Supportive and collaborative operations manager and business partners, assisting with overall practice growth and management
• Coombe Dental Care is a busy family practice located close to the centre of picturesque Salisbury. Established in 2005 we have a great local reputation for providing good quality care and a wide range of treatments.

Please note that as part of your role, you’ll be the Registered Manager for this practice.

About You

We’d love to receive your application to our Practice Manager vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:

• A healthcare, retail, hospitality, or similar service-focused background - experience managing a dental practice or strong leadership experience as a lead dental nurse is an added bonus, but not essential
• Passionate about delivering great service
• Leading and supporting colleagues to perform at their best
• Confident working with financials (P&L, KPIs, budgets)
• Focused on delivering operational excellence: from fully-functioning equipment and facilities, to a compliant, process-driven practice team
