Pharmacy Practice Manager Role Overview

Reporting into the Area Manager, the Pharmacy Practice Manager role is a hybrid of patient care and commercial responsibilities. It requires a strong leader passionate about healthcare, patient well-being, and business profitability. This role is accountable for meeting pharmacy targets and managing the store pharmacist and pharmacy colleagues, supporting Asda Pharmacy's goal to be industry-leading.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead, coach, and develop the pharmacy team to deliver excellent patient care and safety.
2. Support and develop all direct reports and locums to ensure high standards of customer service, compliance with GPhC standards, and clinical governance.
3. Collaborate with in-store, regional, and head office teams for clinical and service support.

Work Schedule

Week 1:

• Saturday: 09:00 - 21:00
• Monday: 09:00 - 21:00
• Friday: 09:00 - 21:00

Week 2:

• Monday: 09:00 - 21:00
• Tuesday: 09:00 - 21:00
• Thursday: 09:00 - 21:00
• Friday: 09:00 - 21:00

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Practice Manager committed to healthcare excellence. The ideal candidate will be a qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC, experienced in delivering NHS and private healthcare services, and capable of balancing management and pharmacy duties to ensure safety and results. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
