Job Overview:

The Practice Specialist primarily supports onboarding of acquired practices, practice location changes, mergers, and expansions. Responsibilities include initial practice assessments, data collection, acquisition project coordination, data conversion assessments, and managing Epic Change Management related to Ambulatory.

The role also involves providing workflow support and reinforcement to practice resources and providers in ambulatory settings, assisting with daily processes, workflow enforcement, standard protocols, and system functionality. The Practice Specialist handles pre- and post-go-live tasks for ambulatory projects and drives process improvements for workflow optimization and standardization.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-4 years of experience in ambulatory healthcare settings
  • 1-2 years experience in practice acquisitions and EHR implementations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction
  • Data analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

Scheduling Requirements:

Essential Functions:

  • Support workflow and application functionalities, including new features and standardization efforts.
  • Maintain policies related to Epic and documentation systems.
  • Manage all routine assignments independently, focusing on skill and problem-solving development.
  • Assist in planning and executing Epic-driven process implementations for growth.
  • Stay current with Epic applications, technology, and best practices.
  • Promote education and training to maximize Epic features and workflows.
  • Participate in leadership and project meetings to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Track, resolve, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage multiple activities, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate onboarding projects with Epic build teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify, resolve, and escalate project issues timely.
  • Use project management processes to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
  • Proactively seek process improvement opportunities.
  • Engage with stakeholders regularly to review objectives, projects, and support needs.
