St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in London, seeks a Band 7 nurse educator to support clinical teams and oversee the Preceptorship for newly qualified nurses and nursing associates. You will teach, assess and guide staff through transition from student to registrant, ensuring high standards of practice and patient safety.

The role focuses on delivering and evaluating the Preceptorship programme, coordinating learning sessions and maintaining the trust-wide Preceptor

Formación

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
• Mentorship qualification or equivalent.
• Evidence of recent continuing professional development (CPD).
• Teaching qualification.
• Completed Preceptor training.

Responsabilidades

• Support in clinical environment and teach newly qualified nurses and nursing associates.
• Assist with facilitation of training, education, practice support and professional development for learners.
• Lead on delivery and evaluation of the Preceptorship programme ensuring it is relevant and regularly reviewed.
• Explore learning opportunities for newly qualified nurses using eLearning and simulation.
• Coordinate and lead on preparation, training and evaluation of teaching programme for Preceptors.
• Organise Preceptee support sessions and forums to ensure practitioners are supported and assessed.
• Communicate with managers and Practice Educators on changes to Preceptorship and progress of new registrants.
