Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking a Practice Development Nurse (Band 6-7) to lead and deliver education, shadowing and academic components within the District Nursing and Community Services teams at University Hospital Lewisham.

You will work with Divisional teams, the Clinical Academy and Practice Development Leads to identify needs, run courses, coordinate assessments and support workforce capability across the Trust. Training and progression opportunities are a key part of the post.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse and current professional registration.
• Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Teaching qualification (PG Certificate Practice Education or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Leadership and Management course or equivalent training.
• Other appropriate post-basic qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate education and clinical facilitation to nursing staff and learners.
• Coordinate educational activities and assessments within the department.
• Support and develop Registered Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Support Workers and learners.
• Promote inter-professional learning across the division and Trust.
